(Note: You can not install versions of Imail older than 10 on a Win 2008 server)
If you use IMail Anti-Virus, install it after step 11 below. Note: If IMail is already installed on the machine you are moving to, both machines should have the same version of IMail installed.
1. On the current IMail server, shut down all of the running IMail services and exit from IMail Administrator. 2. Using the Registry Editor (regedit.exe), do an export of the following two registry keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ipswitch\IMail
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SMTPD32 3. Copy these (registry export) files along with the IMail directory (and all of its sub-directories) to a temporary folder on the new IMail server. If you have created domain directories that are not sub-directories of your IMail directory, these must be moved also.
(NOTE: If running Imail server version 9.xx [2006], make sure to copy the workgroupshare.mdb) 4. Disconnect both computers from the network and move the IP address from the current server to the new computer. 5. Import the registry files you moved in step 3. ( NOTE: If drive or path structure are going to change, you need to edit the registry to reflect this before moving forward.) 6. Install IMail on the new computer (use the same installation path you used on the old server). If you wish to change the installation path, install IMail to the new path you desire now. But, prior to importing the registry files you created in step 3, open them in a text editor such as notepad and perform a 'find and replace' for the old install path to the new install path. 7. Shut down all of the IMail services on the new computer and exit from IMail Administrator. 8. Update the software to the same version of IMail which was running on the old computer (this includes any HotFixes). 9. Copy the IMail folder (and any domain directories that are not sub-directories of IMail) from your temp folder in step 3 over the IMail when you installed IMail in step 5. Overwrite any files that already exist. 10. Connect the new computer to the network. 11. If you have IMail Anti-Virus on the server you are moving from, install IMail Anti-Virus on the new computer. Unless you disable virus scanning on the new machine, mail will not be deliverable until AV is installed. 12. Check the settings for IMail services on the new computer. 13. Start the IMail services on the new computer. Other files that you may wish to bring over from the old server, if used, are:
ab.txt - Attachment Blocking List
antispam-table.txt - Anti-Spam Word List
Kill.lst - SMTP Kill File
orules.ima - Outbound Rules
phrase-list.txt - Anti-Spam Phrase List
rules.ima - Inbound Rules
smtp32.acc - SMTP Control Access List
smtpd32.loc - SMTP Relay for Addresses List
spamblks.txt - Enabled DNS Blacklist
spamblkm.txt - All DNS Blacklist configured in IMail
url-domain-bl.txt - URL Domain Black List
white-list.txt - White List
spamskip.txt - List of trusted IPs
If you are moving to a Windows 2000 Server or a Windows 2003 Server which also runs IIS, make sure that the Microsoft SMTP service (Simple Mail Transport Protocol) is disabled on the new machine.
If running IMail 2006 we recommend letting the install handle the IIS configuration. Only files that have been customized will be needed from the old server. Permissions will need to be propagated down after moving the directories.作者: tdk 时间: 2009-10-30 16:30

其实想一下好象也不是这么复杂,在另外一台上全新安装下,然后再把相关用户注册表值导入,还有用户文件夹复制过去不就得了?
